Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All QMF for TSO/CICS V12.1 users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This PTF fixes several defects and adds * * additional support for the QMF Data * * Service component. The PTF is safe for * * all QMF for TSO/CICS users to apply. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** QMFT-292: Update message DSQ17536 text for DB2 z/OS SQLcode -536. QMFT-277: Allow removal of comment from query or proc object from Enhanced Editor Describe panel. QMFT-319: Update message DSQ10341 to refer to QMF Version 12. QMFT-423: Reset report after DSQ16905 DB2 Resource limit exceeded. Prevents partial report from showing. QMFT-261: Allow for stored procedure cursor reopening on large result sets. Prevents DSQ50433 'Attempted to close a file that is not allocated'. QMFT-10013: Prompted query returns to DB2 instead of QMF Data Service when report still active. QMFT-34: Improve DSQ14352 'Not enough above-the-bar storage exists to complete the request.' message. Added information about checking MEMLIMIT and give current storage usage. QMFT-266: Improve QMF Data Service activation. When the QMF Data Service load modules are not available, QMF will issue message DSQ51246 'QMF was unable to load module CQDHLI during initialization.' QMF will not allow the setting of DSQEC_DS_SUPPORT to a value of '1' during this situation. Users may also see message DSQ51245 with return code information if load modules are available but errors are found accessing the QMF Data Service server. QMFT-262: Add parallelism support for QMF Data Service for query workload submitted from QMF for TSO/CICS. Addition of QMF for TSO/CICS global variables DSQEC_DS_PAR and DSQEC_DS_NOPAR are added provide support. See the QMF Reference guide for more information on these variables. V12x-060-035: Add object id service for QMF Data Service. This support extends QMF Data Service support to the QMF for TSO/CICS DISPLAY, DRAW, EXPORT, PRINT, Prompted Query and Query by Example (QBE) interfaces. QMFT-14111: Problems accessing quoted QMF object names. Users may receive DSQ20317 'objectname cannot be found.' when using the DISPLAY QMFUSER."QUERY_NM WITH BLANK" command. This may happen accessing QMF queries, procs analytics or forms.
