Error description

  • The Fast Path Advanced tool passes an incorrect UOW buffer
    address to MM calls which results in an MM call error.

    * USERS AFFECTED: All users of HPFPU Fast Path Advanced Tool   *
    *                 (FPA) in Fast Path Solution Pack Version 1   *
    *                 Release 3 (FMID: HAHQ130).                   *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR addresses the following       *
    *                      defects.                                *
    *                      - FPA passes the incorrect buffer       *
    *                        address to MM calls.                  *
    *                      - TUNE Processing report displays an    *
    *                        unnecessary keyword.                  *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR.         *
    ****************************************************************
    - When the number of CIs in a UOW for database definition was
      small (ex. UOW=(1,1)), pagefix error occurred because FPA
      passed incorrect buffer address to MM calls by a logic error.
    
    - TUNE Processing report displays an unnecessary keyword,
    
    IOVFCI_RBA_REPORT.
    

Problem conclusion

  • - FPA has been modified to pass correct buffer address to MM
      calls.
    
    - The unnecessary keyword has been omitted from TUNE Processing
      report.
    
    Addition to above, detailed explanation about some messages has
    been added to the User's Guide.
