PI94622: ENHANCE ALL FP UTILITIES, INCLUDING FABCUR1 AND FABCUR3 TO SUPPORT ENCRYPTED DEDB ADS'S

APAR status

Error description

• Enhance all Fast Path utilities, including FABCUR1/3,
  to support encrypted DEDB ADSs. After IMS APAR PI83756 is
  installed to add IMS support for encrypted DEDB ADSs, FABCUR1
  can fail with error message FABC3719E and ABENDU3719:
   READ FAILED FOR VSAM DATASET AT DDNAME TRKME02D (AREA 2)
   VSAM ERROR DATA: RETURN-CODE : 8
   RPL "FDBK" : 104 (68)
  .
  In this case, FABCUR1 fails because it cannot process the
  encrypted DEDB ADS's (without this APAR's enhancement).

  This APAR enables all HPFP Utilities to process DEDB ADSs that
  are encrypted with z/OS Data Set Encryption.
  
  This APAR also provides a new KEYLABEL keyword for FPA ALLOCATE
  subcommand, which makes it possible to encrypt the dynamically
  defined ADS.
  
  Since the size of DEDB ADS cannot exceed 4GB, FPA has been
  changed to issue the HFPV3068E message and FPB Reload has been
  changed to issue the FABC3825E message when the ADS size is
  more than 4GB.
