PI93548: FIELD REGTYPE MISSING (SHOWING "-" ON REPORTS) FOR SOME MSC TRANSACTIONS AND PARS USER PROGRAM LOAD ERROR MESSAGE NOT ISSUED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Two related concerns being addressed are:
  1. When an MSC back end transaction program switches, and one of
  the program switch transactions is an MSC transaction which is
  queued back to the originating IMS system ID, any form-based
  reports that include that transaction will show field
  REGTYPE='-' (a hyphen), indicating no data is available to
  report.
  2. If a PARS user program cannot be loaded, the following error
  message should be issued, but is incorrectly being suppressed:
  'PROGRAM &NAME NOT IN IMSPARS REPORT DIRECTORY'

Problem conclusion

• 1. Correct identification of MSC front end transactions when
     they are queued from a back end system to the original front
     end system. Field REGTYPE will contain 'MSC" and field MSC
     will contain 'FE'
  
  2. Correct macro generation options for the PARS program load
     error.
