    RC=4

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All users of the IBM Automatic Binary        *
    *                 Optimizer (ABO) for z/OS, v1.3.              *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When ABO processes a module and no      *
    *                      CSECT is eligible for optimization,     *
    *                      ABO produces the message "BOZ4101: No   *
    *                      applicable COBOL code section found".   *
    *                      The return code for this message is 8.  *
    *                                                              *
    *                      Since this is not a true error          *
    *                      condition and in order to be            *
    *                      consistent with other z/OS software     *
    *                      products, ABO will now produce a        *
    *                      return code of 4 in these situations.   *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply provided service                       *
    ****************************************************************
    ABO was modified to produce a return code of 4 for the BOZ4101
    message.
