PI93131: RUN TS 54 DFHSTUP STATISTICS, THE FILE SUMMARY REPORT APPEARS INCORRECT.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Just upgraded the region from CICS TS 5.2 to TS 5.4,
  Run DFHSTUP statistics. The file summary report appears
   to be incorrect.  The VSAM EXCP and REQUESTS INDEX column
   are both appended with a 'T'.
   - Files with no activity display as 0T instead of just 0.
   - Most files with activity also display both columns as 0T.
   - Some files display results that are not valid.
     For example, one of the application files displays 9268
     adds, but 8910113T VSAM EXCPs and REQUESTS INDEX. EZACONFG
     also displays high results, like 2552359T.
   - It also shows exceptional activity against a file STTAXTBL.

  When reviewing the SUMMARY statistics for File Requests the
  VSAM EXCP Data and Index columns will contain the Trillion ( T )
  indicator even if the value is zero.
  Also any counts that are non-zero contain values which appear to
  be too large.
  The problem happens because the top word of a double word
  working variable is non-zero.

Problem conclusion

• DFHST17X has been changed to initialize the top word of the
  working variable.
