Error description

  • Request to support all DDL creation on the target beyond the
level of tables and indexes. (views, synonyms, etc.)
    Description
    http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&C
    R_ID=74602
The customer uses cloning for moving data from production into
his integration and acceptance environments. In additiona the
customer needs to create new test environments. This requires
generation of DDL as well so that the target environment matches
    the source environment.
    .
Currently the DDL capabilities in DB2 Cloning Tool (DB, TS, TB,
IX) are very limited and restrictive. This applies also to
masking capabilities which need a more granular differentiation
    capability.
    ..
    Use Case
In a clone process the customer has the need to also copy
additional object types - such as Views, Aliases, Synonyms,
    triggers, Stored Procedures.
That is a mandatory application requirement that occurs on an
    adhoc base.
Without that the customer has no possibility to properly select
the objects that require cloning and make them accessible for
application use on the target side.
For masking example, the customer has the need to distinguish
CREATORs for the various object types. Currently DB2 Cloning
Tool does not provide this capability. This makes it dificcult
to define the clone process and make it time consuming to set up
    and test.
