Error description
APAR to provide this function with Liberty. WELD-2447 Client proxy serialization support should be container agnostic - JBoss Issue Tracker https://issues.jboss.org/browse/WELD-2447
Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server Liberty - Contexts and Dependency * * Injection (CDI) * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When weld creates client proxies it * * sets the container id into the class * * scope, causing problems if a proxy is * * used across multiple containers * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** For efficiency reasons, if a class is shared across multiple containes weld will share the proxy class created to handle the regular class across those containers, however the container id was set at the class scope rather than per object and this can lead to various serialization problems.
Problem conclusion
Weld released a fix under WELD-2447 in which the container id became a field which is set when proxy objects were constructed rather than set at the class scope. We have upgraded to weld 2.4.7 The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 9.0.0.8 and liberty 18.0.0.2.
