APAR status

Error description

  • Record the timestamp for async socket receives.
    
    CICS will be updated to record the time the async call was made
    and the time it completed for each socket.  This will assist in
    diagnosing socket hang problems (will show whether the issue is
    within CICS or not).
    

Local fix

Problem summary

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: CICS does not record the timestamp of   *
    *                      async receives for each individual      *
    *                      socket.                                 *
    ****************************************************************
    CICS records the time of the last socket async receive call to
    complete in the sockets anchor block.  This only provides a
    single timestamp.  It would be beneficial to record the time
    of the last async receive for each individual socket.
    

Problem conclusion

  • CICS has been updated to record the timestamp of the last async
    receive for each individual socket.  This records the time the
    call was issued and when it completed.
    
    The SO domain dump formatter has been updated to format out the
    new timestamps for each socket.  The socket domain summary has
    also been updated to display the existing receive and accept
    timestamps from the sockets anchor block.
