Error description
When the plugin is generated, there may one or more transport statements with ConnectionTTL="0"
Local fix
Edit the plugin-cfg.xml to use the default of ConnectionTTL="28"
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: IBM WebSphere Application Server webserver * * plugin users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Plugin configuration generation may * * show transport with ConnectionTTL=0 * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Define custom property * * Plugin_PersistTimeOut_Reduction prior to * * configuration generation (suggested value * * 2) until fixpack containing correction is * * applied. * **************************************************************** When the plugin-cfg.xml shows a transport with ConnectionTTL=0, it is not a valid transport and most likely is a duplicate of a valid transport.
Problem conclusion
If a custom property for Plugin_PersistTimeOut_Reduction (see apar PM76420 for details on this property) is not defined, the internal value may use 0 instead of the default value of 2 and this causes the invalid transport to be added. Code has been corrected to ensure correct default value. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 7.0.0.45, 8.0.0.15, 8.5.5.14 and 9.0.0.7. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for delivery information: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=180&uid=swg27004980
Temporary fix
Duplicate transport with ConnectionTTL="0" can be manually removed from plugin-cfg.xml or Plugin_PersistTimeOut_Reduction custom property can be set to 2 prior to configuration generation.
