APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When FTM SWIFT is set up in a multi-server environment, and FMT
messages are sent into FTM SWIFT in a batch, so that both broker
servers start processing the FMT messages simultanously, 2
messages may get assigned the same ISN.
The messages are processed correctly on the sender and the
receiver side, but the ACK for one of those messages is
discarded on the sender side, as it is considered to be a
    duplicate.

Local fix

  • the problem can be avoided by stopping the DNF_PF_IS message
flow on one of the Broker servers

Problem conclusion

  • To avoid a duplicate numbers a new sequence SEQIAMS is being
introduced. This sequence creates a unique ID so that the ACK
message will not be discarded as duplicate.
