APAR status
Closed as program error.
Error description
When running IBM Rational ClearCase version 8.0.1.15 on Linux platform, performing "ls -l" can return the following error for each file or subdirectory: ls -la <DIR>/ ls: cannot access <DIR>/<FILE>: Too many links This error is returned by MVFS when it detects improper directory aliases that would cause a deadlock instead of that deadlock occurring. WORKAROUND: Sometimes this can be resolved after performing "cleartool endview -server <VIEW>"
