PI90713: DB2 ADMIN TOOL - CHANGE MANAGEMENT ABENDS WHEN ATTEMPTING TO CHANGE THE NAME OF A COLUMN

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Change Management Abends when attempting to change the name of
  a column. When expecting to get to the panel ADB2CRO CM -
  Register Options, the ADBDIAG output is displayed. F3 returns
  to the ALT panels with the following message on the bottom of
  the screen:
  
   ------------------------------------------------------------
   | Analysis ended with return code = 8.  Use TSO ISRDDN to  |
   | check the file contents.  The files remain allocated and |
   | should be freed manually.                                |

  Checking ISRDDN we found DD SYSOUT has 28 occurrences of:
  
  IBM0361W ONCODE=350  The STRINGRANGE condition was raised.
           From entry point CHECK_RENAME_MIZMATCH
           at statement 16437 ...

  Change Management Abends when attempting to change
  the name of a column, it caused duplicate constraint
  and an ONCODE=350. When expecting to get to panel
  ADB2CRO 'CM - Register Options', the ADBDIAG
  output is displayed and upon hitting the PF3 key, DB2
  Admin returns to the ALT panels with the following
  message on the bottom of the screen:
