PI90664: IIDR CDC FOR Z/OS IS UNABLE TO USE THE SUPPLIED RACF ACM WITH DB2 V12

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• DB2 V12's modification level field in the RIB is different from
  previous versions.  Specifying the proper version of DB2 to the
  ACM now requires that a new field in the XAPL be filled in with
  the VRM data.  Without this field proper filled, the RACF ACM
  will indicate that it will not be performing security access
  validation.

  *                 product (RACF, ACF2, Top Secret, etc.).      *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When being initialized by IIDR CDC for  *
  *                      z/OS, the ACM issues a message stating  *
  *                      that it will not be available and       *
  *                      security access will revert to DB2      *
  *                      GRANT/REVOKE settings.                  *

  * RECOMMENDATION: APPLY CORRECTIVE SERVICE                     *
  ****************************************************************
  
  IIDR CDC for z/OS is unable to properly initialize the ACM used
  for RACF.
  

Problem conclusion

• Additional fields in the user exit control areas required by the
  ACM for DB2 V12 have been properly initialized.
