Error description
After uninstalling IBM Rational ClearCase version 8.0.1.x and installing version 9.0.1.1 64 bit, "cleartool checkout" is getting errors similar to: cleartool: Error: Error from VOB database: "<VOB>. cleartool: Error: Unable to fetch triggers. cleartool: Error: Unable to check out "<ELEM>". Also attempts to dump the VOB database gives the following errors: CRRDM0404E *** db_VISTA database error -6 - invalid db_address db_dumper: Error: DBMS error in "/vobs/atria/lib/db/db__str.c" line 809 db_dumper: Error: DBMS error in /ccstore/vobs/acltrobs.vbs/db.reformat. db_dumper: Error: db_VISTA error -6 db_dumper: Error: Unexpected error from database library (1) in "/vobs/atria/lib/db/db__dump.c" line 5144 db_dumper: Error: Error from libdb (1) cleartool: Error: Could not dump database. cleartool: Error: Trouble dumping versioned object base "VOB". This issue only occurs in VOB's with triggers on Linux hosts. For more information see: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg22004783 WORKAROUND: 1. Dump the VOB database prior to uninstalling ClearCase 8.0.1.15 2. load the VOB database after installing ClearCase 9.0.1.1
