Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of CICS Configuration Manager. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Post-GA corrective maintenance for * * CICS CM v5.4. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: . * **************************************************************** This APAR covers the forward routing to CICS Configuration Manager v5.4 of the v5.3 APARs PI88810, PI89160 and PI88783 together with changes to zFS processing and some other minor corrective maintenance. 1. Batch load of Transformation Rules fails RC=08 running Rexx procedure CCVXB01R when processing a FILE definition POOLNAME attribute. This was fixed in CICS CM v5.3 by PI88810. 2. Updating an Approval Profile with more than 700 Schemes failed with error DFHSR0001 A0CADAUD - Abend code 0C4/AKEA) has occurred in program CCVSOWAB. This was fixed in CICS CM v5.3 by PI89160. 3. CICS Configuration Manager v5.3 APAR PI88783 enables that release to fallback from upgrades to CICS Configuration Manager v5.4. The PI88783 updates to the CICS CM v5.3 release specific translation table for repository definitions (program CCVTD530) are required in the CICS CM v5.4 corresponding copy of CCVTD530. 4. Corrections are made to zFS processing, including improved validations, error handling, batch reporting, and ISPF online dialog messages and help text. 5. The CCVBDDDI utility does not accept the input statements COLLECTIONMETHOD=EXCI and COLLECTIONERRORHANDLING=WARN as described by SCCVSAMP sample CCVXSYSO. A change in nomenclature to use the keyword values EXCI (in place of IMMEDIATE) and WARN (in place of FAIL) has not been reflected in the CCVBDDDI utility validations. 6. MQMonitor resources were introduced at CICS TS 5.4. The COLDSTARTCOMPARE and related Deployment Analysis reports need to recognize installation dependencies for MQMonitor resources. 7. DFHCSDUP audit records are not written to the collector file when the collection method is DYNAMIC and the CICS Configuration Manager Server is operational, but EXCI communication is unavailable. 8. Running the CCVJ audit processing transaction from a CICS attached terminal provides no information messages or feedback that the transaction has completed. 9. The CCVBDDDI utility message CCV9950I contains extraneous characters in the message text. 10. Change package history display (ISPF option 3 view 11) shows a READY has been performed, although only a list of change package candidate (ISPF option 3 view 2 or similar views) has been performed. The listing of the packaged resources via a LIST API command for the READYLST, incorrectly creates a package/scheme (PSCHEME) record. This occurs when the Scheme has a source Configuration that is a CCM-format export file, and packaged resources exist for that Configuration. The PSCHEME record is not marked as 'Ready', however the event history shows that READY has been run and completed with RC=0. 11. Minor ISPF online dialog text, help panels, and message text changes.
Problem conclusion
CICS Configuration Manager v5.4 is corrected as follows: 1. Validation checks are corrected for the FILE definition attribute POOLNAME and others. 2. The Approval Profile record exceeded the maximum record size limit of 32,767. To overcome the problem, an Approval Profile now supports a Scheme value of * to allow a default set of approver roles for any undefined Schemes. 3. The CICS CM v5.4 version of program CCVTD530 is updated. 4. The following corrections are made to zFS processing: 4.1. Online and/or batch audit reporting corrections: 4.1.1. Improved FUNCTION columns displayed values 4.1.2. Improved ZFS INFORMATION text to indicate the zFS change 4.1.3. Reporting of ZFSFILEs omit the export FILE NAME 4.1.4. Reporting of ZFSFILEs that failed Backout processing 4.1.5. Reporting of ZFSFILEs when Migrate delete-at-source used 4.1.6. Reporting of ZFSFILEs in batch using VIEW=PACKAGE 4.1.7. Reporting of extraneous entry on ZFSFILE creation 4.2. Error messages processing ZFSFILEs for inappropriate Configs 4.3. Backout processing of ZFSFILEs which did not update the zFS 4.4. Ready verification states for ZFSFILEs 4.5. Errors copying ZFSFILEs to/from CCM-format export files 4.6. Errors copying ZFSFILEs with sub-directories in RelativePath 4.7. ZFSFILE incorrectly created if pre-exit signalled a failure 4.8. zFS backups not deleted when the target zFS object not found 4.9. Copy of ZFSFILEs with security failures incorrectly reported 4.10. Copy of ZFSFILEs to inappropriate export file reports *Copied 4.11. ISPF panel ISPP100 error when performing SEARCH for ZFSFILEs 4.12. Change package resources lists to allow filtering by ZFSFILE 4.13. Inconsistent setting of the file mode on copied directories 4.14. RelativePath value restricts use of ../ and /../ values 4.15. Trailing / for RelativePath directories to be stripped off 4.16. Online ZFSFILE compares to suppress misleading zFS information 4.17. Refinements to error messages and help text 4.18. Stop ZFSFILE definition if delete of zFS object denied 4.19. Edit zoom processing for RelativePath improved 4.20. F4 Prompt processing for RelativePath enforces length checks 4.21 Error and help text for PAX/USTART RelativePath restrictions 4.22. Import CCVPCIM1 panel error if zFS Config root dir > 44 characters 4.23. Improvements to CCVLOG information/error messages for ZFSFILE 4.24. zFS F4 Prompt panel to support + masking character 4.25. Errors if zFS pre-exit fails without setting message text 4.26. Copy of CICS resources to a zFS Config not shown as errors 4.27. Save of a ZFSFILE to confirm the related zFS object is valid 4.28. Change package 'ready' list to identify missing zFS objects 4.29. ZFSFILE export/import processing improvements 4.30. CCVBMAIN Abend U4083 reporting ZFSFILEs with long path names 4.31. Any case matching when filtering by RelativePath 4.32. Refinement to the delete pop-up options processing 4.33. Samples related to the zFS post-processing exit point are improved. The SCCVSAMP sample CCVXZTC exit point program now illustrates how files named '.osgibundle' can be processed by a unix shell script to have their jvmserver value replaced after COPY or MIGRATE processing. The illustrated technique can be applied to other search and replace arguments. New samples to support the search/replace processing are included. 5. The CCVBDDDI utility is corrected to accept input statements COLLECTIONMETHOD=EXCI and COLLECTIONERRORHANDLING=WARN. 6. The Deployment Analysis reports are enhanced to provide improved validation and reporting for MQMonitor resources. 7. Detection of EXCI communication errors is improved. DFHCSDUP auditing to the collection file now occurs if the EXCI collection method is unavailable. 8. The execution of the CCVJ transaction logs information messages in CCVLOG. These messages are now also sent to the terminal if the CCVJ transaction was invoked from a CICS attached terminal. Examples of these messages appear below: CCV5652I Audit load transaction CCVJ has started. CCV5678I Number of audit records processed is <number>. CCV5653I Audit load transaction CCVJ has ended. 9. The CCVBDDDI utility program now initializes the message text field before issuing the CCV9950I message. 10. The correction stops the creation of the PSCHEME record during READYLST processing. 11. CICS Configuration Manager is corrected or improved by minor changes to some ISPF panels, helps or message text.
