This APAR enables ORF to rebuild PSINDEXes during HALDB
reorganization. The following APARs must be applied to the
    related products:
    - APAR PI89394 for IMS Index Builder V3R1 (FMID: H22O310)
    - APAR PI89844 for IMS HP Image Copy V4R2 (FMID: H1J0420)

    ----------------------------------------------------------------
    > Using IMS Online Reorganization Facility
    >> HRFSYSIN DD statement keywords
The following new keywords have been added:
    PSINDEXBLD keyword
Use this keyword to specify whether the partitioned secondary
indexes (PSINDEXes) for the database are built during the
reorganization. This keyword is effective only when the primary
database is a HALDB and one or more PSINDEXes are defined to
the HALDB. To apply PSINDEXBLD(Y), all of the following
     conditions must be met:
     - Both IMS High Performance Load and IMS Index Builder load
libraries are included in the STEPLIB concatenation
     - Reorganization of all partitions of the HALDB are requested
in the IMS Online Reorganization Facility job
     - The Conditional Reorganization Support Service is not enabled
     The default value is N.
    RELOAD.WFPHLQ keyword
Use this keyword to specify the high-level qualifier of the WFP
data sets that are generated by IMS High Performance Load
during the reorganization. The value must be a 1- to 32-
character data set prefix. This keyword is effective only when
PSINDEXBLD(Y) is specified. The default value is determined by
     the WFHLQ base configuration parameter.
    RELOAD.WFPSPACE keyword
Use this keyword to specify the SPACE parameter for the WFP
data sets when IMS High Performance Load dynamically allocates
WFP data sets during the reorganization.ã??This keyword is
effective only when PSINDEXBLD(Y) is specified. If the
RELOAD.WFPSPACE keyword is not specified, IMS High Performance
Load estimates the size based on the allocation size of the
     partition data set.
     The following variables are supported:
uuu The space allocation unit. The valid values are 'CYL'
            and 'TRK'.
pppp The primary space quantity. It must be in the range of
            1 - 9999.
ssss The secondary space quantity. It must be in the range of
            1 - 9999.
    RELOAD.WFPUNIT keyword
Use this keyword to specify the device for the WFP data sets
when IMS High Performance Load dynamically allocates WFP data
sets during the reorganization. This keyword is effective only
when PSINDEXBLD(Y) is specified. The default value is
determined by the WFUNIT base configuration parameter.
    RELOAD.WFPVOL keyword
Use this keyword to specify the volume names for the WFP data
sets when IMS High Performance Load dynamically allocates WFP
data sets during the reorganization. You can specify up to five
volume names. You can indicate nonspecific volumes by
designating an asterisk (*). This keyword is effective only
     when PSINDEXBLD(Y) is specified.
    RELOAD.WFPVOLCNT keyword
Use this keyword to specify the volume count for the WFP data
sets that are generated by IMS High Performance Load during the
reorganization. The value must be in the range of 1 - 59. This
keyword is effective only when PSINDEXBLD(Y) is specified.
    IDXBLD.MAXTASKS keyword
Use this keyword to specify the number of subordinate address
spaces that IMS Index Builder creates. The value must be in the
range of 0 - 36. You can specify the PSORT option as the second
parameter so that the PSINDEX partitions are sorted in
parallel. This keyword is effective only when PSINDEXBLD(Y) is
     specified.
    IDXBLD.SIDXBUF keyword
Use this keyword to specify the number of buffers that IMS
Index Builder uses for building PSINDEXes. This keyword is
effective only when PSINDEXBLD(Y) is specified. The following
     variables are supported:
ddd The number of VSAM buffers that are to be used for the
data component of the KSDS data set. The value must be in
           the range of 1 - 255.
iii The number of VSAM buffers that are to be used for the
index component of the KSDS data set. The value must be
           in the range of 1 - 255.
sss The number of QSAM buffers for reading the SORTOUT data
set of striped sort. The value must be in the range of
           1 - 255.
    IDXBLD.SORTFSZ keyword
Use this keyword to specify the size of the sort stripes that
are allocated by IMS Index Builder allocates for building
PSINDEXes. The value must be in the range of 1 - 999999999.
This keyword is effective only when PSINDEXBLD(Y) is specified.

    > Changing the IMS Online Reorganization Facility environment
    >> Customizing the base environment
    >>> Base configuration parameters
The following new parameters have been added:
    WFHLQ=ppppppppppppp
Specifies a 1- to 26-character data set prefix for the work
data sets that are dynamically created during the
reorganization. To create the data set name, IMS Online
Reorganization Facility appends an internal name that is
generated from the time stamp to the prefix. The data sets are
deleted upon successful completion of the job.
     Default: ORF.WORK.HLQ
    WFUNIT=uuuuuuuu
Specifies a 1- to 8-character unit name for the work data sets
that are dynamically created during the reorganization. The
data sets are deleted upon successful completion of the job.
     Default: None.

    > Troubleshooting
    >> Messages and codes
    >>> Messages
The following new messages have been added:
HRF01621E PSINDEXBLD(Y) not available. REASON: reason
Explanation: PSINDEXBLD(Y) cannot be applied because the
requirements to apply PSINDEXBLD(Y) are not satisfied.
    System action: Processing terminates.
User response: Perform the action that corresponds to the
reason shown in the message and rerun the job.
     INDEX BUILDER NOT FOUND
Ensure that the load library of IMS Index Builder is included
      in the STEPLIB concatenation.
     HP LOAD NOT FOUND
Ensure that the load library of IMS High Performance Load is
      included in the STEPLIB concatenation.
     ALL PARTITIONS REQUIRED
Remove the PARTITION or PARTLIST keyword from the command so
      that all partitions are processed.
     CONDREORG NOT SUPPORTED
Remove the CONDREORG keyword from the command so that the
Conditional Reorganization Support Service is disabled.
     WFHLQ NOT SPECIFIED
Specify the WFHLQ parameter in the base configuration module
or add the RELOAD.WFPHLQ keyword to the HRFSYSIN DD statement
    HRF01622I PSINDEXBLD(Y) is ignored
Explanation: PSINDEXBLD(Y) is ignored because one of the
     following conditions has been detected:
     - The primary database to reorganize is not a HALDB.
     - No PSINDEX is defined to the primary database to reorganize.
    System action: None.
User response: None. This message is informational.
