PI89092: COMPONENT TEMPLATE PROCESS PROPERTIES NOT SET WHEN RUNNING CHAINOF COMPONENT PROCESSES

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When a component template process calls another component
  template process, component process properties are sometimes not
  set properly on the subprocess. This happens when the component
  process properties are specified on the step running the parent
  process (for example, an application process) rather than the
  child process.
  To reproduce this, create the following:
  1. A component template with a component.
  2. A component template process "Process A" with a property
  "Required Property" that is used in a step.
  3. A component template process "Process B" that runs Process A,
  but does not fill in a value for "Required Property".
  
  When Process B is running, the value of Required Property will
  not
  be set property on Process A, even if it is filled in on the
  application process or run dialog.
  

Local fix

• Use a component process property on the parent process to pass
  the value down to the child component template process.
