Problem conclusion
Code has been changed in support of the new CATMAINT ability to accept a LEVEL option value that is either a catalog level or a function level. DB2 message DSNU766I is changing in this APAR. The new message text is: DSNU766I csect-name - THE CATALOG IS ALREADY TAILORED FOR THE SPECIFIED LEVEL. NO ACTION WILL BE TAKEN. Explanation: The catalog is already tailored for the function level or catalog level that was specified for LEVEL in the CATMAINT utility control statement. There is no reason to rerun the catalog migration job. Therefore, no action is taken to update the Db2 catalog. csect-name The name of the control section that issued the message. System action Processing ends. Severity 4 In the Utility Guide, the description of the CATMAINT utility LEVEL option will change as follows: LEVEL(level) Specifies the target function level or catalog level for the CATMAINT job. If you specify a function level value, Db2 determines the appropriate target catalog level and message DSNU777I indicates the result. The format is VvvRrMmmm, where vv is the version, r is the release, and mmm is the modification level. For example, V12R1M502 identifies function level 502. For a list of all available function levels in Db2 12, see What's new in Db2 12 function levels.
