PI87863: ENTERING 'GA' COMMAND FROM PANEL ADB2Z MAY RESULT IN ERROR: TABLE IS NOT OPEN

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When two users both enter the 'GA' command ('Alter group buffer
  pools') from panel ADB2Z ('System Administration'), the second
  user may receive the error 'Table is not open'.  The same error
  may occur if the same user tries to enter the 'GA' command from
  another DB2 member of the same Data Sharing Group on a
  different LPAR.

  When two Admin Tool users both enter command
  'GA' to alter group buffer pool from System Administration
  panel ADB2Z, the second user will receive "Table is not
  open". The problem remains until the first user exits from ISPF.
  The problem can also occur when the same user tries to
  enter the 'GA' command from another DB2 member in the
  same Data Sharing Group on a different LPAR.
