**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS Users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR introduces a new * * CMCI JVM server which will allow * * the CICS Explorer to signon on using * * Multi-Factor Authentication. * **************************************************************** This APAR introduces a new CMCI JVM server which will allow CMCI users and the CICS Explorer to signon on using a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) token. The solution is implemented by setting the feature toggle com.ibm.cics.cmci.jvmserver Setting this feature toggle to true will convert an existing WUI region to use the new CMCI JVM server to authenticate CMCI users. The CMCI JVM server will handle user authentication by password, passphrases, passtickets, MFA tokens and certificates depending on how the user is configure in their ESM. This requires CICS Explorer version 5.4.0.4 or latter. In addition this new function allows customers to specify a file which will limit access to a user supplied list of versions of the explorer. For installation and usage details see the CICS TS Knowledge Center.
