Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: IBM WebSphere Application Server Load * * Balancer for IPv4 and IPv6 AIX users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Packet forwarding with IPv6 may fail * * on AIX * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When the IPv6 address of the load balancer machine contains notation with two adjacent colons (::), the prefix will be set to 128.
Problem conclusion
Code has been corrected for addresses containing adjacent colons and the prefix will be set according to the prefix assigned to the address. Prior to this correction, a prefix of 128 (full address) was assigned so no interface could be matched for packet forwarding. Fix levels: 8.5.5.14 9.0.0.6
