    *                 z/OS Version 3 Release 1 (FMID=H22K310)      *

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR fixes some problems when you *
    *                      run DBRF interactively.                 *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
This APAR fixes the following problems:
1.DBRF in interactive mode does not process HALDB disabled
partitions. When a root key for the HALDB is specified on the
Initial selection panel, DBRF should determine the partition
to which the key belongs from partitions except disabled
partitions. But, DBRF wrongly determines the partition to
which the key belongs from partitions including disabled
partitions. As the reslut, there is a case that DBRF wrongly
selects a disabeld partition and issues MSGFABZ091I.
2.When a key is specified on the Initial selection panel for a
PSINDEX, the partition name and a key must be specified. DBRF
should determine the partition to which the key belongs.
3.The incorrect word "Root key" was described in both the
Initial selection panel for a PSINDEX and its help panel. It
      should be "Key".

Problem conclusion

  • DBRF has been modified to fix the errors.

    Procedure
     1. For a non-partitioned database, specify the data set group
in the Data set group field.
If you want to make changes to an overflow ESDS, specify OV
in the Data set group field.
    |2. Optional: For a partitioned secondary index database, enter
    | a question mark (?) to display the partition in the
    | Partition Selection List panel.
     3. Provide a value in either of the following fields:
    | Key
Enter the key of the segment or record to be displayed.
    | For a partitioned secondary index database, IMS Database
    | Repair Facility determines the database partition to which
    | it belongs. A message is displayed with this information.
    | If you specify both a partition DBD name and a key on this
    | panel, the partition DBD name is ignored.
Certain rules apply to specifying the keys. See "Rules for
         specifying keys".
