PI86577: INCORRECT RENDITIONS RENDERED FOR EMBEDDED IMAGES, FALLBACK LOGIC FOR MISSING RENDITION ALSO INCORRECT

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Images containing renditions that have been inserted into a rich
  text or design field are not rendered correctly. The default
  image is always returned even if the image contains a valid
  rendition that matches the current device class (ie: desktop,
  tablet or smartphone).
  
  
  Additionally, the fallback when both the current rendition does
  not exist and the image is referenced via a tag with
  the rendition="auto" attribute is also incorrect (note: if the
  rendition attribute is not specified within the tag, the
  rendition attribute will be set to auto by default).
  

Local fix

• Manually add the rendition"=auto" attribute to the tag (such as
  the component or element tag to reference the rich text as an
  example)
