  DB2 generates internal control blocks for the processing of
  SQL statements, and these control block sizes are correlated
  to the length and complexity of the statement.
  
  Control blocks that exceed a certain internal threshold are
  processed differently, and in the error scenario, DB2 did not
  process them correctly, leading to the symptom ABEND.
