PI85714: PCT COMMAND LINE - WCTCMD - WITH RESPONSE FILE FAILS TO CONFIGURE IHS ADMIN

APAR status

Error description

  • Symptoms were:
    - Admin.conf not updated for Listen and User, Group directives
    - admin.passwd file not updated with IHSAdmin user/pw/
    
    Not sure if this means setupadm script did not run at all or
    some fail.
    

Local fix

  • - Manual config of IHS Admin:
     > edit admin.conf for Listen and User, Group directives
     > use htpasswd until in IHS_Root/bin to set user/pw for
    admin.passwd
    - Or use setupadm script in  IHS_Root/bin with proper syntax

Problem conclusion

  • Code problem has been fixed and the issue does not occur any
    more.
