Error description

  • When performing Standalone dump from GDPS, all processing
    messages are logged as GDPS SDF trace entries. However, there
    are some SDF lines missing on AMD104I. No information is shown
    for dump devices 1 to 4, example below:
    GEO015I cpc.lpar AMD104I STAND-ALONE DUMP PROCESSING COMPLETED.
    GEO015I cpc.lpar DEVICE VOLUME USED DATA SET NAME (domid)
    <missing info for device 1>
    <missing info for device 2>
    <missing info for device 3>
    <missing info for device 4>
    GEO015I cpc.lpar 5      ucb5  volser5   n%   SYS1.SADMP (domid)
    GEO015I cpc.lpar 6      ucb6  volser6   n%   SYS1.SADMP (domid)
    GEO015I cpc.lpar 7      ucb7  volser7   n%   SYS1.SADMP (domid)
    The messages produced by SAD processing are also sent to the
    SYSLOG, but in the SYSLOG each WTO occurs twice. The
    continuation line of AMD101 can in some situations overlay the
    existing SDF message line.

Problem conclusion

  • With this APAR installed, all GEO015 and GEO017 will have
    sequence numbers added, to ensure the continuation lines are
    correctly displayed in the SDF Trace.
