Error description
You are receiving the following error message, DFHNQ0002 A severe error (code X'0215') has occurred in module DFHNQED. . APAR PI61811/PTF UI39847 is already on the system. . You see the following trace exception entry, NQ 0215 NQNQ *EXC* - Inquire_UOW_failure - FUNCTION(ENQUEUE) POOL_TOKEN(3773B500) ENQUEUE_NAME1(3A3F6D02 , 00000010) WAIT(YES) MAX_LIFETIME(DISPATCHER_TASK) PURGEABLE(YES) TASK-SJ KE_NUM-009F TCB-T800B/0077FC88 RET-B73015DE . The exit program runs in the XRSINDI exit point, and includes an XPI ENQUEUE call. It is using Link to Liberty. So when a bundle containing a Java program with an @CICSProgram annotation is installed, a Liberty thread has to ask CICS to perform PGDD DEFINE_PROGRAM in order to define that CICS PROGRAM resource This runs on a T8 TCB out of the Liberty thread pool but there is no CICS user task associated with this thread. It does not have a CICS Transaction Environment. The EXECSTRN type ENQUEUE means that a unit of work is required, but this environment does not have one. . Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DFHNQ0002 severe error code X'0215' * * occurs under a T8 TCB while performing * * a dynamic install for a CICS Liberty * * program. * **************************************************************** CICS is installing a bundle into a Liberty JVM server. The bundle includes a Java program annotated with an '@CICSProgram' annotation. CICS needs to dynamically install a PROGRAM resource for this Java program. This is carried out on a T8 TCB, but without a transaction environment. If the XRSINDI exit is active, it will be invoked when this dynamic program definition is installed (and would be invoked again when it is deleted). The XRSINDI exit program may not behave as expected due to the lack of a transaction environment. In the reported problem, the XRSINDI exit program issued an XPI enqueue request. This resulted in the following message and exception trace entry: DFHNQ0002 A severe error (code X'0215') has occurred in module DFHNQED. NQ 0215 NQNQ *EXC* - Inquire_UOW_failure
Problem conclusion
CICS has been updated to correct the reported problem. When program definitions are dynamically added or removed as a result of installing or discarding a bundle containing a Java program with the @CICSProgram annotation, this action will be performed under a full CICS transaction environment. A new transaction id, CJSP, has been introduced for this purpose. This is a new Category 1 CICS transaction. . The CICS Knowledge Centre (CICS Supplied Transactions) for CICS TS V5.3 and V5.4 will be updated to list CJSP as a new transaction in the list of category 1 transactions.
