There is a timing window that can cause an ABEND0C4 PIC-11 to
occur in module BBOCLSCC in a CICS Region Address Space when a
WebSphere Application Server is brought down via the MVS STOP

WOLA code running in a CICS region drove bboclscc (local Comm
client connect).  At the time the target WebSphere control
region is in address space termination.  A piece of storage
managed by the control region related to cross-memory
communication was released.  In this window, code driven under
bboclscc (bboobind and bboopce) took an ABENDS0C4 referencing
the released storage.

Problem conclusion

Code has been modified to make a local copy of the static
information needed to avoid referencing the control region
managed area (bboocrpc).

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
pack 8.5.5.13.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for
