    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DB2PM / DB2PE batch audit reports may   *
    * use excessive CPU time, especially when *
    * unique short strings are generated from *
    *                      long strings.                           *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF. *
    ****************************************************************
    Excessive CPU time may be consumed when generating audit
    reports. This is compounded when unique short strings need to
    be created from long strings. MSGFPEC4035W may accompany this
    condition.

Problem conclusion

  • The code was changed to reduce the CPU time consumed when
    creating the audit report. Lesser CPU time reductions may be
    seen in some instances for other reports.
