PI84279: JOB HANGS WHEN ATTEMPTING TO USE VPD VIA TAPE

Error description

• The job hangs when accessing VPD with SMF data on tape.
  1. Bad data is introduced when reading a multi-volume RECFM=VBS
  tape dataset with MRC or VPD and if records span across tape
  volumes.
  2. The request fails when VPD is used to read a multi-volume
  tape dataset, and the number of I/O tasks requested exceeds the
  number of tape volumes
  3. A failure to release an ENQ can result in SYSTEM ABEND X'138'
  AT DAIOBSBG/SDBLINK+X'00250B5A' if the same multi-volume tape
  dataset is read multiple times.
  4. An invalid storage offset in the ENQ/DEQ routines can lead
  to SYSTEM ABEND X'0C4' AT NQTVTK/OPDAIO31+X'00011484' or SYSTEM
  ABEND X'0C4' AT DQTVTK/OPDAIO31+X'000116DC'
