Error description
Using IBM z/OS Explorer with CICS Explorer (p2 install), editing a *.wsdl file with WSDL editor, incorrect characters are displayed when the remote encoding of the file is changed.
Local fix
Close and reopen the same file to see the correct characters displayed in the WSDL editor
Problem summary
If RSE is used to open a binary file in an editor that contributes a content type with a specific encoding (such as the *.wsdl editor) the editor contents can appear corrupted if the user then changes the remote encoding.
Problem conclusion
If RSE used binary transfer to download the file, RSE sets the local charset to match the remote encoding. However, when this editor opens, the content type for the editor overrides whatever the local charset was previously set to. When a user changes the remote encoding of a binary-transfer file, RSE updates the local charset to match that but that causes the overridden encoding to be lost for that edit session and corrupts the editor.
Temporary fix
