PI83892: ADDING PRODUCT TO DB2 TOOLS LAUNCHPAD MAY RESULT IN FOLLOWING ERROR MESSAGE: ENTRY WAS NOT ADDED TO TABLE ADBDMT - RC = 8

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When attempting to add a product to the DB2 Tools Launchpad, a
  user may receive the following error:
  Entry was not added to table ADBDMT - rc = 8
  The message does not contain any information that might help
  the user correct the error.
  This APAR adds the following to the message:
  Entry cannot be added to table ADBDMT due to the following:
  rc=8: TBADD service failed for table ADBDMT.
  A row with the same key (Rel=nnn, Prog No.=nnnn-???)
  already exists and must be unique.
  

Local fix

• Update AOC table member ADBDMT via ISPF option 3.16.
