Problems addressed in GDPS release 3.12 3.13 and 3.14:
    - GDPS/HM GDPS/PPRC GDPS/MTMM GDPS/GM GDPS/XRC:
SDF alert GEO270I delayed due to AUTGEO2 busy.
    - GDPS/HM GDPS/PPRC GDPS/MTMM:
Enhancement to issue GEO516W instead of generic GEO519I for
      MC41 DS8K storage health alerts.
    - GDPS/PPRC GDPS/MTMM:
Help panel text VPCPHK15 minor corrections of FC status
description for the '+' and '?' characters.
    - GDPS/PPRC:
With KSYSOFF=YES, if some utility devices are not path
grouped successfully by GDPS, DASD status remains green
OK, when it should be red OK.
Problems addressed in GDPS release 3.13 and 3.14:
    - GDPS/HM:
Sample member GEOM4HM incorrectly contains an entry for
IEA395I which is not trapped in message table GEOMSGHM for
      Hyperswap Manager.
Problems addressed in GDPS release 3.14 only:
    - All GDPS flavors:
Stand Alone Dump may not be initiated due to failure of
external interrupt to activate the HMC console. There is
no message issued to indicate this.
    - GDPS/HM GDPS/PPRC GDPS/MTMM:
GEO551I can become too long when reporting several SSIDs
in error resulting in the message being split incorrectly.
Also, in some situations the GEO555I message will contain
an extra blank character in the <phase-text>.
    - GDPS/MTMM:
During Monitor2,VPCEMDAS experiences a Rexx error
      - IRX0041I Error running VPCEMDAS, line 903:
        Bad arithmetic conversion
    - GDPS/PPRC:
Rexx error in VPCEMSGK for DUPLEX PENDING state
      - IRX0041I Error running VPCEMSGK, line 123:
        Bad arithmetic conversion
        123 +++  do i = 1 to vpc_dasd_pair.0
    - GDPS/PPRC GDPS/MTMM with xDR
Monitor2 may give incorrect results in some situations due
to incorrect usage of an internal variable.
    - GDPS/PPRC GDPS/MTMM with xDR
PSW Restart should only be issued against z/VM systems.
      z/Proxy Systems should be excluded.
    - GDPS/PPRC GDPS/MTMM with xDR
In some cases when the communication between the Master
K-system and a z/VM system is down, there are orphan entries
      on the VPCPFLFZ panel.
Problems addressed in GDPS release 3.13 only:
    - GDPS/MTMM:
Rexx errors can be generated from VPCELARM
during GDPS initialization or DASD configuration
load when alerts are cleared or issued to remote
systems. The Rexx errors will only be seen on the
remote systems and do not affect local SDF alert
or WTO generation. The following messages are seen:
      - IRX0040I Error running VPCELARM, line 223:
        Incorrect call to routine
      - GEODBG1 AUTSDF1 nvdom PI73658-VPCELARM:
        'LIT "NOWTO"'

Problem conclusion

  • The problems have been fixed.

    DOCUMENTATION CHANGES:
Changes to GDPS Messages and Codes (ZG24-1756):
    - Added new <reason> for GEO551I:
      CGRPLB=N FOR SSID(S). CHECK PREVIOUS GEO083W
      FOR SSID IN ERROR
    - Added new <reason-text> for GEO516W:
      Data error during media scrub
