Comments

  • Code has been changed to support HyperSwap IOTIMING triggers
on GDPS/MTMM system, in a manner similar to the existing
    GDPS/PPRC IOTIMING support.

In a GDPS/MTMM single leg configuration, GDPS evaluates
counters, checks mirroring status, and queries secondary
volumes to determine if a HyperSwap trigger message should
    be issued.

In a GDPS/MTMM symmetric leg configuration, GDPS executes
the same checks on the HyperSwap preferred leg to evaluate
status. If the check fails, GDPS will automatically
repeat the evaluation sequence on the alternate HyperSwap
leg to issue the HyperSwap trigger message.
See the GDPS/PPRC Installation and Customizaton Guide for
additional information about IOTIMING, which is now also
    applicable to GDPS/MTMM systems.

    PRODUCT ENHANCEMENT
This PTF provides support for the IOTIMING HyperSwap trigger
    in GDPS/MTMM.

    RESTART NEEDED
    It is not necessary to IPL the system to activate the fix;
a stop and restart of the GEOXCFST started task will suffice.
However, since the GDPS SGDPLOAD library is included in the
linklist, a F LLA,REFRESH must be performed after the fix is
installed and prior to restarting GEOXCFST.
