The graphical interface will fail to connect to dsserver if
any java exception occurs parsing the configuration.

Problem conclusion

Corrected the code so that the graphical interface is tolerant
of java exceptions. Also corrected parsing exceptions which
could occur when changing the port level selectionalgorithm or
replication strategy, setting server level encapsulation
parameters or affinity settings.
