PI82771: SSL HANDSHAKE ERRORS SEEN WHEN CONNECTING MOBILE FOUNDATION ON CONTAINERS TO DASHDB SERVICE

Error description

• The dashDB service have updated their SSL ciphers on Bluemix
  service instances. This requires the latest dashDB DB2 drivers
  to be used.
  MFP uses db2jcc4.jar, the dashDB JDBC driver to connect to the
  dashDB service. This has to be updated

  * Mobile devices may face issues connecting to the Mobile      *

  * On the Mobile Foundation Operations Console , one may see    *
  * the status as *Inactive* and the following messages:         *
  * FWLSE3000E: A server error was detected.                     *
  * Unable to open database.                                     *

  * On the messages.log file from the existing Mobile Foundation *
  * application instance, the below messages are seen:           *

  *   Error location: T4Agent.sendRequest() - flush (-1).        *

Problem conclusion

• The dashDB Bluemix service have updated their SSL ciphers on
  Bluemix service instances. This requires the latest dashDB DB2
  drivers
  to be used. Mobile Foundation uses db2jcc4.jar, the dashDB JDBC
  driver to connect to the dashDB service. This has now been
  updated to the latest driver level.
