APAR status

Error description

  • When a DB2 performance monitoring Classic session or Common
Collector terminates, or the session is switched to monitoring a
different DB2, under certain recovery conditions, the XCF
Gateway ignores failed XCF members and does not reuse them
causing a U2008 ABEND.

When the OMEGAMON DB2 address space normally or abnormally
terminates, XCF Gateway members remain in a failed state and are
not reused on subsequent OMEGAMON DB2 start up.

Problem conclusion

  • Disconnect failed XCF members during OMEGAMON DB2 address space
normal and abnormal termination.
