Error description

  • The timeout value set on the context pool for the LDAP Registry
    is not honored. The context pool treats the timeout value as set
    to 0 (zero).

    The timeout value set on the context pool for the LDAP Registry
    is not honored. The context pool treats the timeout value as
    set
    to 0 (zero). LDAP connections closed by LDAP, a proxy, a
    firewall, etc, can take a long time to timeout (for example, 10
    minutes if default OS TCP settings are used).
    

Problem conclusion

  • NOTE: APAR PI86719 is available in fix pack 17.0.0.3 and fixes
    additional context pool timeout problems.
    
    The timeout property for the contextPool on the LDAP Registry is
    now correctly used to timeout connections in the context pool.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
    pack 17.0.0.2.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for
    delivery information:
