PI80929: IBM DEVELOPER FOR Z SYSTEMS V14.0.0.3 - CANNOT EDIT COMPARED FILES IF MANAGE SEQUENCE NUMBERS IS ENABLED

Error description

• In IBM Developer for z Systems V14.0.0.3, when comparing two
  files with the "Compare With" > "Each Other" operation, the
  files cannot edited if Manage Sequence Numbers. As result, edit
  doesn't work and an Java stack exception appears in the
  workspace .log

  Steps to Reproduce:
  
  - Enable Manage Sequence Numbers Cobol > Editor > Sequence
  Numbers > Manage Sequence Numbers
  - Select two modules in the z/OS Projects view
  - Right click and choose Compare With > Each Other
  - Try to modify the left or right version
  

Local fix

• - To workaround the issue, the user can disable the preference
  for "Manage Sequence Numbers"
  

Problem summary

• When in the Comparison Ciew, if "Manage Sequence Numbers" was
  enabled, the file could not be edited.
  

Problem conclusion

• The files can be edited in comparison view with "Manage Sequence
  Numbers" enabled.
