Error description
Description: After an Active Report has been created and saved in the Cognos portal and the delivery method set to Save the report , when attempting to run that report from Cognos Connection within the OpenPages portal, by clicking on the report link, the browser window pops up but the result is never displayed. The behaviour is slightly different on the three main browsers but all throw an error. As an extra piece of info, when running the report in FireFox through FireBug, the following error is being displayed in the console: If the cognos portal is accessed directly, the saved active report output can be viewed . If the user right clicks on the report link in cognos portal and selects open in new window the saved output will display.. Error only occurs with saved active report output, works with active report set to run. Prerequisites: OpenPages 7.2.0.4 with Solutions Create Cognos Active Report 1. Login the OpenPages application as OpenPagesAdministrator. 2. Start Cognos Report Studio by clicking on the Reporting > Cognos Report Studio 3. 3. When prompted for package just pick OPENPAGES_REPORTS_V6 4. For the next prompt pick Create New 5. For the New prompt pick Blank Active Report: 6. Drag and drop a List from the Tools tab in the left-hand pane: 7. Drag and drop [DEFAULT_REL].[SOXBUSENTITY_GPC].[CEN_ENTITY_ID] from the metadata tree (so just to have something showing in the report) 8. Save the report, with a name and put in folder location (for example Public Folders ): Steps to Reproduce: 1. Login as OpenPagesAdministrator. 2. Pop up the Cognos portal by clicking on Reporting > Cognos Connection 3. Navigate to the folder where the report has been saved. 4. Click on the Run with options icon corresponding to the saved report: 5. In the ensuing view, select Save the report for Delivery:, then click Run 6. In the next view click OK to confirm the report should be run 7. In the portal view thats being subsequently displayed, click on the link corresponding to the report in question to run that report: Depending on the browser type, the report viewer is either empty or it displays a browser error message: IE11: Cannot set property of 'innerHTML' of null

Problem conclusion
This isue is fixed in 7.4 with our upgrade to Cognos 11, this has been resolved.
