APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The WebSphere Application Server OpenID Connect TAI only
supports a single host and port for the callback URL. If you
want a single WebSphere server instance to use multiple
hostnames and the OP to redirect back to those different
hostnames, the OIDC TAI cannot make that happen.

    ****************************************************************
The OpenID Connect TAI is fixing its callback URL for all its
requests to use the hostname and port of the first request
that it intercepts. The OIDC TAI cannot accomodate a
WebSphere server instance uses multiple hostnames if you need
the callback URL to match the hostname of each request URL.

Problem conclusion

  • The OpenID Connect TAI stores the hostname and port from the
first request that it intercepts to build the callback URL for
the OpenID Connect provider. That URL is stored and used for
    all future requests.

The OIDC TAI is updated to build the callback URL for each
    intercepted request.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 8.0.0.14, 8.5.5.13, and 9.0.0.5. Please refer to the
