APAR status
Closed as program error.
Error description
In server.xml, an entry like <jndiEntry name="x" value="0" /> should result in a java.lang.Integer being bound into JNDI, but actually results in a java.lang.String See the documentation here: https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSEQTP_8.5.5/ com.ibm.websphere.wlp.doc/ae/twlp_dep_jndi.html

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server Liberty - ORB and JNDI * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A jndiEntry config element with a value * * of "0" is parsed as a java.lang.String * * but should be a java.lang.Integer * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** In server.xml, an entry like <jndiEntry name="x" value="0" /> should result in a java.lang.Integer being bound into JNDI, but actually results in a java.lang.String.
Problem conclusion
The parsing code is altered to treat the value of "0" as an integer. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 17.0.0.2. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for delivery information: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=180&uid=swg27004980
Temporary fix
A Integer value of zero can still be explicitly specified by using another literal that evaluates to zero. For example: <jndiEntry name="x" value="00" /> <jndiEntry name="y" value="0x0" />
