Error description

• When starting the ClearCase "xclearcase" or "xlsvtree" graphical
  interfaces on Linux hosts, using an invalid path, or failing to
  provide a path, may cause the application to hang.
  
  strace shows that the application is stalled waiting for a
  FUTEX:
  close(4)                                = 0
  close(3)                                = 0
  futex(0x6755bd8, FUTEX_WAIT, 3812, NULL
  
  Collecting the process stack shows the following:

  This occurs when the internal pfm_exit() routine or exit() is
  called with a -1.
