APAR status

Error description

  • When attempting to de-envelope X12 data from a Sterling B2B
Integrator (B2Bi) de-envelope service node within a B2BI
business process that invokes the
IBM Transformation Extender Advanced (ITXA) de-envelope process,
ITXA throws an error of "[InvokeSIBP]
InvocationTargetException executing driver".  This error is
observed during the subsequent outbound data processing that
calls a B2Bi business process.

Problem summary

Customers using ITXA with B2Bi

Problem Description:
When a driver is launched through immediate acknowledgment
processing, the document is not passed to the driver correctly.
Any driver launched will have the interchange document set as
the PrimaryDocument, but in this scenario the PrimaryDocument
will not be used by the launched driver since the option
Use_Supporting_Resources will have been set to "YES" and
Use_Primary_Document_With_Supporting_Resources will not have
been set.

Problem conclusion

  • Resolution Summary:
Each service needs to check for the existence of
Use_Supporting_Resources=YES. If that parameter exists, then
also set Use_Primary_Document_With_Supporting_Resources=YES.
