APAR status

Error description

  • When using HPEL message content filter to filter on an existing
    string from a multiline message, the multiline message is not
    returned as the result as expected.

    Enabled HPEL logging for a server. Used the administrative
    console to view the log. When flitered the message contents by
    providing "*theWord*", no message was returned. Supposedly,
    there was a multi-lines message which content contains
    "theWord".
    

Problem conclusion

  • The problem is resolved. The HPEL log viewer of the
    administrative console can now filter multi-lines messages.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 8.5.5.12 and 9.0.0.5.  Please refer to the Recommended
