Error description

If an app server was created based on a custom template,
server.xml may contain name tag with template name that was used
to create it and ID tag with "-1".  Both of these tags are not
there unless specific sequence of events happens to create the
server. The additional tags don't seem to cause any problems or
errors.

*                      template, attributes for namd and id    *
*                      are created. These attributes causes    *
*                      errors on a server.                     *

* RECOMMENDATION:  Modify the server instead of the template.  *
*                  THen use the new server as a new template   *
*                  rather than modifying the template.         *

The template code adds attributes that are not used by server
code and cause a problem with the server runtime.

Problem conclusion

The console code no longer adds the name and id attributes
when a server template is modified.

APAR PI77682 is currently targeted for inclusion in Fix Packs
8.5.5.12 and 9.0.0.5 of WebSphere Application Server.
