* USERS AFFECTED:  All users of IBM WebSphere Application      *
*                  Server Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)    *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The SIP Container incorrectly uses an   *
*                      outbound interface in a multihomed      *
*                      environment when a loopback adapter     *
*                      is used for SIP signalling.             *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:  The SIP Container is ignoring the           *
*                  outbound interface settings when an         *
*                  application uses a loopback adapter for     *
*                  SIP signalling. The following new SIP       *
*                  Container custom properties were            *
*                  introduced. Ensure that both are set to     *
*                  'true' if an application is deployed in a   *
*                  multihomed environment and it uses a        *
*                  loopback adapter for SIP signalling.        *
*                  enable.set.lb.outbound.interface            *
*                  skip.sent.by.host.check                     *
****************************************************************
The SIP Container incorrectly uses an outbound interface in a
multihomed environment when a loopback adapter is used for
SIP signalling.

Problem conclusion

The SIP Container chooses a listening point and constructs the
system header fields according to the outbound interface
settings.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 8.5.5.12 and 9.0.0.4.  Please refer to the Recommended
