Local fix
Change permission bits on the config directory to 770
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of IBM HTTP Server V8.5 or newer on * * z/OS * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Permission errors during server start * * after applying IHS fix packs on z/OS * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply this fix if using IHS 8.5 or newer * * on z/OS * **************************************************************** After installing IHS fix packs on z/OS, a server start resulted in Permission denied errors when the userid used to start the server was different from the one used to install it, due to the default permission bits of 755.
Problem conclusion
Resolved permission errors during server start after applying fixpacks in environments where the user who runs install_ihs differs from the user who starts IHS. Adds a "-group" parameter to the bin/install_ihs script to allow a group shared between the install userid and [protected] task userid to be specified. This fix is targeted for IBM HTTP Server fix packs: - 8.5.5.12 - 9.0.0.4
Temporary fix
Change permission bits on the config directory to 770
