Error description

Upgrading from liberty 16.0.0.3 to 16.0.0.4 causes an
exception
in code using a metatype extension duration.   The metatype
extension, duration has changed type from
LONG to STRING. Code  using it as a LONG now throws an
exception.

The metatype definitions used for processing configuration for
the zosConnect feature are not correctly cleaned up when the
feature is removed. This can result in configuration not being
processed if the feature is added to the configuration again
without restarting the server. If this happens, the logs will
show ClassCastExceptions when the zosConnect code attempts to
cast the unprocessed String value to a Long.

Problem conclusion

The metatype registry will now be cleaned up correctly when
features are removed.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
pack 17.0.0.1.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for

Temporary fix

If you remove the zosConnect feature, restart the server before
adding it back again.
